A class XI schoolboy died in Ahmedabad after the school authorities punished him for coming late to school.
Milan Tanna collapsed after he ran three rounds of the school as part of the punishment for reporting late. The boy was taken to the Sanjeevani Hospital in the Satellite area of Ahmedabad where the doctors prounced him brought dead.
According to the doctor, the boy was dead when he was brough to the hospital. "When they got the boy to the hospital, within a minute we took him to the ICU, but he was found dead. His cornea was dried, so he was dead about 15 minutes ago. Primarily, we think he must be suffering from some heart disease because of which he could not bear the punishment and he collapsed."
Milan Tanna’s family are blaming the authorities of the Narayan Guru School saying the school authorities waited for half hour before taking the boy to hospital.
Taruna Jyoti, Principal, Narayan Guru School explained, "I usually go late to school. The vice-principal and other staff handle the school in the morning. I was informed about this incident when I was on my way to school."
