ISLAMABAD, Jan 13: A team of the Scotland Yard Police Sunday continued its investigations to discover the pattern under which former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was assassinated.
The Britain Police team carried out a demonstration through vehicle to assume actual situation under which the former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto came under attack in Liqat Bagh on December 27, 2007.
Ms. Bhutto, twice elected prime minister of Pakistan, was assassinated in firing followed by suicide attack as she was waving her party workers after boarding the bullet-proof Pajero in Liaqat Bagh of highly sensitive city of Rawalpindi.
The Scotland Yard team visited Liaqat Bagh three times Sunday and made video footage and still photographs of the venue of incident including route adopted by the public rally on December 27.
The team, through vehicle’s demonstration tried to examine the situation and measured the distance between Benazir’s vehicle and the terrorists, sources said.
The hospital officials briefed the SLY team about condition Benazir in which she was brought into ward after attack and later the international detectives returned to Liaqat Bagh.
They also visited District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Rawalpindi and examined the limbs of unidentified body and other victims placed in Mortuary. They also took photographs and made video footage of the organs.
