Apparently, Scott McClellan is back in the spotlight as he appeared on the new CNN show “D.L. Hughley Breaks the News,” that is hosted by comedian and TV personality D.L. Hughley. McClellan had definitely made waves several months back in the spring while the Democratic and GOP primary contests were going on.
One can ask: Who is Scott McClellan?
McClellan is the former White House Press Secretary for current President George W. Bush. He served the post between 2003 and 2006. But, McClellan is most known for his book called “What Happened: Inside the Bush White and Washington’s Culture of Deception.”
When the book was published, it reached number one in sales on Amazon. While it sold many copies, the book is highly controversial.
Since spring, we had not heard much about or from McClellan; until now.
McClellan appeared on Hughley’s show and announced that he was going to vote for Democratic Presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama of Illinois. This is an interesting way to kick things off. The interview will be televised on Saturday, October 25.
It will be the premiere of Hughley’s show as well.
Hughley jokingly demanded that McClellan endorse somebody.
“From the very beginning I have said I am going to support the candidate that has the best chance for changing the way Washington works and getting things done and I will be voting for Barack Obama and clapping,” he told Hughley.
So far, it does not seem that McClellan is alone in this regard. Matt Dowd, former Bush strategist also plans to vote for Obama.
