Scouts to play key role in safe-guarding the green treasure:Forest Chief

Jammu, February 16 (Scoop News) – Principal Chief Conservative Forests (PCCF),  R. D. Tiwari underscored the importance of scouting movement for protection of forests.

R. D. Tiwari who was accompanied by Additional PCCF, Kunal Abbay and senior Conservator of Forests,  O. P. Sharma was delivering key note address on protection of forest and environment on Camporee-2011 in which thousands of Scouts are participated.

 

In his address, he said scouts have to play key role in safe-guarding the green treasure and ensure environmental balance by actively and practically propagating pro-environment policies. He said our new forest policy has become very popular and Scouts have to make it more effective by involving general youth.

 

             Tiwari said we are presently passing through challenging era when entire globe is affected as a result of environmental imbalance. He said that J&K State has been bestowed with elysian beauty and become much more responsibility for all of us to protect the heavenly beauty of Kashmir valley.

            The PCCF said youth are the future citizens as much they have to play active role for protection and promotion of environment. He said promotion of green cover guarantees bright future, progress and prosperity.

             Tiwari asked the scouts to act as ambassadors of environment protection and help government in increasing awareness about environment protection in all the nooks and corners of state.
