 Chitral badly affected by snowfall.

CHITRAL: After heavy and continue snowfall Chitral was badly affected by snowfall as so many people have been died under avalanche. While roads blocked at so many places due to land sliding. The main road between Peshawar Chitral was also blocked at Shaly village in front of Ayun while labors removing heavy stones from the main road. An excavator and jack hammer machines are busy to cut outskirts of the mountain and heavy stones to remove the debris and expand the road. Unexpectedly lower Chitral received more snow than upper Chitral. Drosh which is the most old and historical city which was first district headquarters in British regime was badly suffered from snowfall. Main road was fully covered by snow and a tractor has been deployed by National Highway Authority to remove snow from main road. While shopkeepers of main bazaar also busy to clear snow from the fronts of their shops. Mountains in surrounding areas are fully covered by snow and the ground wearing a white sheet of snow presenting a very eye-catching look. The most beautiful and attractive village of Ayun situated on main road is fully covered by snow and present a beautiful look attracting tourists. There are so many places for skating but due to no facilities snowbound grounds are not using for this purpose. MNA Chitral announced uplift schemes.

CHITRAL:  Member National Assembly  from Chitral and former Federal minister of state Shahzada Muhayuddin  said that he was elected 7 times (3 times for district council and 4 times for national assembly). He  was addressing a public meeting at PIA square which was attended by a large number. He denied allegations of some political figures that MNA Chitral banned traveling inside the Lawari Rail tunnel. He explained while clarifying his position that Chairman and General Manager, Consultant NHA and project manager of Sambu company strictly barred any movement inside the tunnel because of remaining of 80% works inside the tunnel. He said that electrification and through of rail tracks are still awaited. He said that construction work of Lawari tunnel was started by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto the then Premier of Pakistan and was completed by then president Parvez Musharaf who had announced at Shundoor before of MMA government in NWFP. He condemned former MNA Chitral Abdul Akbar that construction was started due to his efforts.

He said that the president of Pakistan has announced 490 million for Booni to Shundoor road and I perused the  case to expedite work on the same. He announced that he will contact chairman WAPDA for up-gradation of local hydro power station. He said that he has been allocated 70 million fund for different developmental schemes. He announced that he will invite Federal Minster for water and power Raja parvez Ashraf to visit Chitral for launching hydro power houses as existing capacity (potential) of 4500 mega watt. He said that I cast my vote in favor of Asif Ali Zardari during his presidential election.

(SOT).  MNA Chitral while talking to APP said that being an MNA he will try of his best to complete Lawari Tunnel and to launch Hydro power stations in Chitral. He said that if work of NHA not suffering I have no objection if they allow Chitrali people to travel inside the tunnel. He said that Chitral people facing non availability of land route, failure of electricity supply etc. he said golain goal hydro power will launch in near future will generate 106 MW electricity as well as up-gradation of existing one mega watt power house is also under process and work will be start after its feasibility report. He said in an exclusive interview with this news agency that he has a big vote bank and every political party approach him to join them to support them.
