It was not long ago in which former Democratic Senator Tom Daschle of South Dakota had withdrew his nomination for Secretary of Health and Human Services. This was in regards to tax inconsistencies. United States President Barack Obama said that he screwed up on that part. One could ask: Who is the next person that Obama will nominate to head the HHS Department.
So far, many members on Facebook have given their support to former Vermont Governor and former Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean to be the next nominee. Still, Obama has not named any possibilities yet. But, there is a huge push on Facebook for Dean to be taken under consideration.
A senior Obama administration official says that Democratic Governor Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas is a strong possibility. Sebelius is almost at the top of the list for potential nominees. During the 2008 US Presidential Elections, Sebelius gave her endorsement to Obama. She was a driving force behind Obama’s campaign.
So far, Sebelius is liked by advocacy groups in regards to the insurance industry. This was prior to Sebelius being the Governor of Kansas.
While Sebelius is a possibility, it does not necessarily mean she will get the nomination. There are still other possibilities. Plus, there is the possibility of Obama taking Dean under consideration. That is if the administration does check the activity on Facebook.
