Security forces kill 3 LeT Militants killed in Kashmir

Srinagar, March 28 (Scoop News) –  In a joint operation Police, Army and CRPF killed three LeT militants in Laribal Handawara today.

             Police said that acting on a specific information a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF cordoned off the village Laribal falling under the Police Post Zachaldara, Police station Handwara. The Cordon and search operation ensued into an encounter in which three militants were killed. The initial investigation showed that the militants belong to leT out fit.

 Senior officers of Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF including IGP Adm CRPF, Shri Ravi Prakash supervised the encounter.

 

1 lady among 3 injured

At least three persons were injured in different road accidents across the valley.

                A Tempo Traveller bearing registration number JK03/4742 hit and injured a pedestrian Abdullah Tenda son of Dullah Tenda resident of Wangat Kangan at Wayil bridge Ganderbal falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ganderbal. The injured was hospitalized. Ganderbal Police has registered a case in this regarded.

               Meanwhile, a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK09/5919 collided with a Tipper bearing registration number JK09/5069 at Watain, jurisdiction of Police Station Handwara, resulting in injuries to Bashir Ahmad Sheikh son of Abdul Ahad Sheikh resident of Harwan Sopore. The injured person has been shifted to hospital. Police has registered a case in this regard.

               In another incident, a Taveera Vehicle bearing registration number Jk03B/7182 hit and injured Mst. Neeta Kour wife of Nirmal Singh resident of Chattisingh Pora at National High Way near Palpora Crossing falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Qazigund. The injured Neeta Kour has been shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.

 

Fire incident, Structure damaged

Fire broke out in the residential houses of Abdul Khaliq Chandal at Maisuma Srinagar, resulting in partial damage to the structure. Fire tenders and local Police brought the fire under control. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.
