Security forces Killed 3 infiltrators while sneaking into Kashmir,also busted 2 militant hideouts

Srinagar/Jammu,May 22 – Security forces on Friday killed  three militants attempting to sneak into Kashmir valley from across the border along the LoC in Kupwara district in Kashmir.

A defence spokesman said,that army troops foiled an infiltration bid in Tangdhar sector, 125 kms from Srinagar, when troops guarding the LoC observed movement of militants and laid multiple ambushes, a defence spokesman said.

He said, the heavily-armed infiltrators were challenged soon after they crossed into this side and in the ensuing gunbattle three militants were killed.

The operation was continuing when last reports were received, the spokesman said.

In another operation Security Forces busted two militant hideouts in twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to defence spokesperson  , security forces recovered one AK 56 rifle, one AK Magazine, one Chinese Hand Grenade and four UBGL grenades from one hideout in forest area Darra in Surankote Tehsil of Poonch district, During another operation in Kispari forest area of Rajouri district, Security Forces busted a hideout and recovered 42 rounds of ammunition, 16 rounds of PIKA ammunition from the hideout. However, no one has been arrested from these two hideout during the search operations.
