Jammu, March 26 (Scoop News) –Leader of BJP Legislature Party Ashok Khajuria (MLA) today said the security of the J&K state and lives of people cannot be put on trial.
Leader of BJP Legislature Party Ashok Khajuria while addressing a press conference today to put the record straight on CM Omar Abdullah’s objectionable remarks in legislative assembly yesterday. He said that since the BJP MLAs have boycotted the session of the assembly and were not there to contradict when CM made these observations, it is his responsibility as leader of the legislature group of a nationalist party to present his party’s view point on the issues raised by the CM.
He , who was flanked by State Chief Spokesperson Dr. Jitendra Singh, said that CM’s suggestion to Govt. of India to withdraw AFSPA on trial basis is childish and highly immature. If the CM feels, as he said, that if the trial fails, them the Govt. of India can again invoke AFSPA shows that the CM is himself not confident of the security situation in the state. This means he is bluffing the people of Kashmir and has a secret understanding with Congress and UPA.
Khajuria also asked Congress to respond on CM’s statement that Defence, Foreign an Telecommunication are the only departments which link the state of J&K with rest of India. The Chief Minister should not forget that state’s economy is totally dependent on Central funds and Congress should explain why is it not objecting to it. He also announced, on behalf of his group of BJP MLAs that the daily protests by them in the premises of legislature assembly will continue till the suspension of Jugal Kishore Sharma is revoked.
Dr. Jitendra Singh announced that the BJP party High Command has taken a decision to carry to grass root and Mandal (Block) level the issue of the anti-national statements made by CM and his cabinet colleagues on the floor of the house in current session of legislature and also the suspension of party president and MLA Nagrota Jugal Kishore Sharma from the legislative assembly. He alleged this is a part of a larger conspiracy by the ruling party to keep the opposition out of assembly while the NC-led government pursues its anti-India and pro-separatist agenda in the assembly to gain political mileage over PDP with an eye on the 2014 elections.
Dr. Jitendra Singh said that this is a unique example in the history of pro-independence India where a state assembly is openly putting on record its anti-India and divisive agenda while the Govt. of India is turning a blind eye. He said that the party will educate the general masses about the dangerous ramifications of the anti-India and pro-separatist policies of the NC-Congress coalition government.
