Sen. Kirk Watson Pummeled On National TV

Thank You Chris Matthews!!

He was able to bring up an vitally important issue to the fray.  He was able to bring to the forefront the politicians that simply jumped on the Barack Obama bandwagon blindly.

State Senator Kirk Watson (TX) appeared on MSNBC’s primary coverage as they previewed they upcoming Democratic primaries in Ohio and Texas.  Mathews asks him, "tell me what bills has Obama been a part of in Congress?"

He danced around the subject only to be brought back by the gruff  hardballer".  The back and forth went along.  Watson continued to talk about how Obama "inspired" him and that  he would be a  viable  candidate.

In the end, Watson gave in and said he knew nothing about the Illinois senator.

Right then and there, Mathews and Keith Olbermann as well as various studio crew members broke out in laughter.

Then the former Sports Center anchor came up was the shaprest at his punchiest.  "Well, in Obama’s defense Chris, can you name the last piece of legislation that the United States Congress has been involved in in the past seven years?"

That generated a roar all over the 30 Rock studios in New York City.-  the highlight of a rather predicatable night.

Either this was the most boneheaded move in the Obama campaign, or someone was sabotaging it.

Texas politicians at their best!   Wow, what were my parents thinking when they voted for Bush – twice!
