Senior Journalist Shyam Koul passes away in New Delhi

 

Jammu, January 07 (Scoop News) –Prominent journalist Shyam Koul expired on Monday morning at his residence in New Delhi after brief illness.

 He was 79.He is survived by his wife, daughter and two sons.

 He was a reputed journalist of the Jammu & Kashmir . 

He served as correspondent of Radio Kashmir,Srinagar  for a long time and was also associated with the national daily National Herald and Quami Awaz.

He had been writing profusely, in different papers and journals, on the developments in Kashmir during the recent years, especially about the problems of displaced minority Hindu community of the Valley.  .

He had done Post graduate from Aligarh University.

 Shri Shyam Koul a journalist committed to his profession had a humble beginning from a remote village Safapora Manasbal in Gandarbal district.

Journalists in J&K condoled the death of veteran  journalist Shyam Koul.

 

 

 Expressing grief over the death of Shyam Koul,Bureau Chief,The Tribune, Eshan Fajli in a massage said that Mr Koul leaves behind a great legacy of honest Journalism. He will be remembered always for his lucid writing.

 Journalist and social activist Rajesh Dhar in a massage said that Mr Koul was a true professional and a perfect gentleman.He said that era passes with him.
