Attacks on troops and police in two of Russia’s Caucasus republics overnight left one dead and two injured, local police said on Monday. A soldier was killed and another seriously wounded when gunmen attacked a group near a rail terminal in the town of Khasavyurt, west of Daghestan’s capital Makhachkaka, at midnight local time, police said
