Having your own business or working out of your home has so many advantages, but yet with all of these advantages there can be a few disadvantages. I know that most of us can come up with a long list of advantages to having our own business, for exmaple the cost of daycare for those of us that have kids, saving on gas for our cars, and the list can go on and on.
Now someone might say with all the advantages what could be possibly be a disadvatage, well it’s never been a personal issue for me but I suppose for some it could be since working at home means both your home and business is in one place so how can you seperate that without one spilling over to the other.
When I first decided to start my business from very the beginning you have to determine what hours you want to work and stick to it. If you have a business to where you have actual customers face to face let them know from the very beginning what your hours are.
Another thing is have a seperate space where all your work is done, if you have limited space there is no need to spend thousands of dollars you don’t have in remolding. If you have an extra bedroom, an extra room of any kind put your work in there, the worst thing you can do is to make part of your bedroom your work area it will never work because when you are trying to relax and sleep your mind will always be on something else.
So there are a few simple things that you can do, that can easily weed out the few disadvantages of having your own business.
