While passing through the corridor of a school I happened to read these lines on the bulletin board;
“Politics without principle
Wealth without work
Pleasure without conscience
Knowledge without character
Business without morality
Service without humanity
Worship without sacrifice”
Are the sins of today.
How true are these lines when we focus on the human values.That reminded me of another adage “People leave ethics at home when they move with world”.There are many people who do not want to accept human values and culture. At this point it would be right to emphasize that human values should be taught to a child when he first starts to look at the world ,when he begins to understand what is said to him. This should begin at home and parents should take the responsibility.
It is a proven fact that people who live ethical and moral lives, live much more happy and satisfied lives than those who live without it. We tend to chase wealth and then are not satisfied and try to accumulate more of it. In later stages we end up using the entire wealth to keep ourselves healthy .At times we want wealth without working hard .
Knowledge without character is another great sin. There are many kinds of people in this world and no two persons are alike when it comes to character. When I was in school our teachers used to lay stress on honesty ,discipline, sincerity , tenacity to work ,regularity and what not and I can proudly declare that I studied in a school where teachers wanted to mould children into good citizens of tomorrow than to just make it into a knowledge gathering place.
Parents should show some concern over grooming children in moral and ethical values.This can make them succeed not only in their professional life but also in their personal life and only this can help them in the long run. What is the use if a person helps others without any humanity .Business done forgetting all morality can land you feeling guilty in later stages of your life.

“Try not to be a man of success, but rather try to be a man of human values”.
