Seven Minority Community People Burnt Alive in Gojra Pakistan

Seven people were burnt to ashes alive and 18 others were injured when violent mob had set ablaze 50 houses of minority community in Gojra Punjab on Saturday, over alleged desecration of Holy Quran.

 

According to local media reports, angry mob had damaged the minority worship place in Gojra and young people with faces covered with veils had set ablaze around 50 houses of minority community, seven people namely Hameed Massih, Asia Bibi, Asifa Bibi, Imamia Bibi, Musa, Akhlas Massih and Parveen trapped in their burning house were burnt to ashes. People of minority community have refused to bury the dead till the arrival of Punjab chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif to get assurance from him regarding protection of their lives and properties.

 

Angry mob had reportedly attacked the minority community in Gojra after a public meeting held by religious parties in Malkanwala Chowk. Minority people had fired gun shots at angry mob consequently ten people were injured. Federal government has deployed rangers to restore peace in Gojra.
