Srinagar, December 9, (Scoop News)_Terming the strike observed by Kashmiris on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Valley as an “eye-opener” for New Delhi, the leader of Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir (HCJK) Shabir Shah said that by organizing such rallies and giving “tempting speeches” therein, the historical realities cannot be changed.
“New Delhi has to accept it that they cannot befool and tame Kashmiris by issuing misleading statements”, Shah in a statement said, adding that the people of Kashmir didn’t offer sacrifices for development and jobs.
He said we are not against the progress and prosperity of our state “only if we are free”.
Commenting on Modi’s statement on Chattergam
killings, Shah said that by acting against the culprits, Modi hasn’t done any favour to Kashmiris.
“He (Modi) should order independent and impartial probe into all the killings that took place here for the last 67 years”, said HCJK leader.
Shah reiterated that if separatist leaders are allowed to do their activities these elections are drama and majority of people will distance themselves from the process. “
“All the pro-election parties are same and there is no difference between them.” Shah said it is only due to the “stubborn attitude” of the state that has stalled the issue.
“The peace, prosperity and progress is impossible without resolving the issue,” Shah added.
