Extreme right wing political party Shiv Sena had branded Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan as a ‘traitor’ after he had voiced his support for the Pakistani players in the third season of the IPL (Indian Cricket Premier League). The Shiv Sena tore down the posters of superstar’s new release My Name Is Khan and blocked the screening of the the movie in theaters.Shahrukh Khan refused to withdraw his comment and refused to apologise to Shiv Sena over the issue.The movie My Name Is Khan emphasizes on the relationship between the Western world and Islam and how the relationship has changed over the past few years. It also describes the journey of one family and the scenario has changed dramatically after 9/11.The film revolves around Rizwan Khan (Shahrukh Khan).He subsequently falls in love with Hindu girl Mandira (Kajol).After 9/11, Rizwan and Mandira begin to face a number of difficulties. After their seperation,Rizwan crisscrossing the United States to win his love back.
