Bandipore (Kashmir), August 11, (Scoop News)- Shardha Mata Trust (SMT), the sole trust for Maha Daneshwar (Chhota Amarnath) Cave pilgrimage supported by All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) today conducted the 2nd Annaul Maha Daneshwar (Chhota Amarnath) Cave pilgrimage in Bandipore in Kashmir Valley.
The pilgrimage to historic 125 ft long Maha Daneshwar holy Cave (known as Chhota Amarnath) in Bandipore was revived by SMT and APMCC jointly last year after 24 years to begin the pilgrimage once again for the Kashmiri Pandits.
Situated at 5800 ft above sea level in dense forests this holy cave used to be frequented by Kashmiri Pandits regularly prior to their mass migration where pilgrimage used to be conducted for one month to culminate on Raksha Bandan.
According to a press reease issued by APMCC National Spokesperson King Bharati, the pilgrimage was conducted by SMT under the leadership of Shardha Nandan Bhat, veteran social activist & Trustee SMT and Rattan Lal Bhat Chairman SMT this year in which many local Kashmiri Pandits participated while APMCC Chairman Vinod Pandit also participated on behalf of APMCC adding APMCC has extended its full support for this pilgrimage which has been a regular feature since 2013 and will continue to support such initiatives in future.
While thanking APMCC for its whole hearted support the Chairman SMT Rattan Lal Bhat and Trustee Shardha Nandan Bhat said that SMT has been working hard to make this pilgrimage a success adding his organization will conduct this pilgrimage regularly hence forth.
