Residents of Sheshikoh valley recorded peaceful protest for their genuine rights. By: Gul Hamaad Farooqi CHITRAL: Residents of Sheshikoh valley recorded their peaceful protest in favor of their demands. A public meeting of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) workers and residents of the valley was held in paradise like valley of Sheshikoh some 50 KM from here. Qari Sadullah Jan Hanfi vice president APML was chief guest on the occasion while public meeting was presided over by Nazaneen Khan president Tehsil Drosh. Addressing on the occasion the speakers said that this valley was always neglected by rulers and administration. There is no blacktop road, hospital, School College in the valley except middle school for boys. Girls students are compelled to read under co education in boys school because there is no school for girls and this is totally against of our culture. Hence the discontinue their further education after passing their middle class due to no high school in the valley. They said that forest department had constructed an earthen road for carrying Deodar precious timber but after creation of Pakistan the road exists in same position. Residents of the area deprived from potable drinking water despite that the valley have a number of natural springs. As well as the valley have no a single dispensary and people of the valley approach to Drosh or Chitral hospital but women folk often dying before reaching hospital during delivery cases. They also hailed and welcome Qari Saeedullah Jan Hanfi who was elected as provincial vice president of APML and they termed it a good step for development of the area. They demanded from provincial and federal government for provision of all basic amenities and facilities of modern era to residents of this valley. At last the public meeting was concluded with prayer words of Haji Nazaneen Khan. A large number of people of the valley and APML workers participated in public meeting.
