After being considered one of the worst transactions in the history of the Premiership, Andriy Shevchenko looks to return to his pold stomping ground in order to regian his long-lost form.
According to sources within the club, the former Ukranian international is close to returning to Milan as both Roman Abramovich and Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi are close to hammering out a deal for the former European Player of the Year.
Although the milanista faithful might seem remeniscent of the eminent acquisition there are some detractors. Former Milan boss Arrigo Sacchi mentioned earlier today in the Italian media as to being ¨preplexed¨ by the transaction.
¨We were promised a forward that would destroy every defense and we got Ronaldinho. Now were were promised a top-flight defender and we get Shevchenko.¨
