Shocking Philadelphia Police Beating Caught on Video

A troubling video depicting 15 police officers viciously beating 3  black  suspects has the city of Philadelphia reeling.  The video, featured below, was captured by an affiliate FOX News TV camera in a helicopter.

Center City lawyer D. Scott Perrine, called the act, "one of the most reprehensible displays of police brutality I have ever seen."  All three beating victims required hospital treatment.  Perrine will represent all three in their bail hearings.

Tensions were already in Philadelphia following the fatal shooting of Police Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski on Saturday.  The suspect for the murder is still at large.

The three men were under suspicion for a murder Sunday night that killed Andrew Coach, a 20-year-old from Feltonville.  Coach was killed by a shot to the abdomen in the 4500 block of North Fourth Street.

John J. McNesby of the Fraternal Order of Police urged that "there’s always two sides to every video."

"Let’s not rush to judgment. Right now we have police under fire in the city of Philadelphia, and we have to be prepared to handle it."
