Most of the actors are renowned names in the Industry in this Film except one new face “Nisha Kothari “who plays Basanti. Everyone is looking forward for her performance as Basanti. She doesn’t have Tanga and Dhannu (ghodi) in new-fangled film however a rickshaw called Laila. Ghungroo (Nisha Kothari): She drives a ‘rickshaw’ named ‘Laila’. Laila is her best friend and confidante. Ghungroo is Mumbai city’s barely woman rickshaw driver. She knows each and every shortcut in Mumbai city. She talks in typical Aamchi Mumbaiya Style and speaks a bit of Hindi and English too. She pretends to be a man, because she’s the only female Rickshaw driver in the city, although from inside she is completely a woman.
Tha saga has been made again by the most experimenting and Talented Film maker of the Bollywood today Ram Gopal Varma by the name of Ramu Ki Aag (a remake of Sholay).Out of all the actors only Amitabh Bachhan is the one who was there in the Old Sholay too, playing the lead role, although in Ramu Ki Aag he is not playing anything less than the Old one. He will be playing the ever ending villainous role of Gabbar.
