Should Our Military Efforts be Focused on Afghanistan?
Yes, we should be focusing our military efforts on Afghanistan if for no other reason than the last time our military personnel and American people felt there was some legitimate reason for fighting this war it was when we were in Afghanistan! There were many people who believed this was where the terrorism was sprouted from, it was where they were being trained and it was where the heroin was being grown. It was the place where many of us shared a vision as to why we were fighting this war. We need to get back to a place where we share common beliefs. Where we can believe we are doing the right things for the right reasons. The only reasons we were ever given as to why we were in Iraq went south when it turned out our president lied to us about it all just to get us in there. Everyone that has been hired by this administration has been slacking off on the jobs they were hired to do and because of that the people of Iraq are suffering every day. How can it feel right to be there for any of us? Their life has been hell since we got there! No power, no water, nothing but military law and guns in their streets, bombs in their cities, and families witnessing their loved ones dying daily. Not to mention our own soldiers and our families. All of it for reasons we have to guess at! We need a new leadership, with a new focus, and ones that will send humanitarian efforts and contractors that give a damn and do what they were paid tons of money to do! No more excuses! No more denial! No more war in Iraq!
