CHITRAL: The long awaited Sheshi Power Project (SPP ) Power house launched power supply to Sheshi and Drosh area on Wednesday.  Qari Jamal Nasir a social worker and school teacher said that we had protested so many times against delay work on the project and  to expedite work on this project hence it completed after a span of 4 years and started work. Bashir Ahmad consultant and Noorul Bashar  XEN of Sarhad Hydro Power Organization SHYDO while talking to this scribe that this 1.875 mega watt power house was under construction for the last 4 years and was completed on Wednesday as well as it started power supply to the specific area. He said that it will supply electricity to Sheshi and Drosh area and will play vital role to overcome on power crises. He said that there was a small hydro power house of 100 Kilowatt but that was not sufficient to supply electricity to the entire area and was demolished a few years back  they said that electricity supplied to Drosh area and the residents of the area expressed their great happy and pleasure on launching this long awaited project of 1.875 megawatt power supply. It is worth to mention here Chitral especially Drosh area was badly suffering from power shortage and non supply of electricity. Hence the provincial government has launched this project and was too delayed. Now it was completed and started work which will supply power to the entire area of Drosh Tehsil. Social and political circle of the area expressed their great pleasure and sign of satisfactory and thanked to Provincial government for completing this long awaited project to solve problem of power shortage in the area.
