Siasia told newsmen shortly after a light work out yesterday evening in Ghana that he was confident taking into account his players form and match readiness.
He reiterated the strength in the team’s attack which has players like Chined Ogbuike and Obinna Nsofor whose pace could create problems for any defence, stressing that the team parades seasoned ball holders like captain Isaac Promise, Isa Kaita, Femi Olubayo and defenders Apam Onyekachi and Uwa Chiejine.
He also noted that the Meteors are a formidable side that would go all out to get a result, but insisted his boys hope to get the upper hand.
"I am confident I’m going to get results in Ghana; my players are match ready and will surely get the desired result. The stakes are high, opposition obviously formidable, but we are up to the task and intend to secure the three points in Ghana to pick the Olympics ticket."
On the absence of key players like Taiye Taiwo and Mikel Obi for the match, Siasia said that matter belongs to the past, adding that the team is ready to take on any opposition.
"Both players have a big role to play in the squad but since they are not here I will go ahead with the players on ground."
Promise assured that his colleagues to defend their integrity and win today’s game.
"We are here to go a job which we hope to succeed," he said.
