A study conducted in the world cities in terms of their crime rate, hygeinic conditions for living, infrastructure facilities etc, found Singapore to be number one. Singapore rewarded for its cleanliness, hygeinic conditions, educational and medical facilities, low crime rate, has been chosen as the number one city in the world.
Australia’s Melbourn and Sydney though rated at par with Singapore in terms of infrastructure and safety aspects etc, has been classified in the rank of No 2 and 3 respectively, since proximity to the traditional asian countries was taken into consideration.
In India among the top metropolis, Chennai stands first, ranked 26 in the world, Mumbai ranked 30 in the world and New Delhi 37th.
It should be noted that the ultramodern cities in Europe and US are considered unsafe and hence rated in a lower category.
