Singapore first ever Paralympic Games Silver Medal

14 September 2008 is a day that will go down to the sporting history of Singapore as swimmer Yip Pin Xiu won the first ever Silver Medal of Paralympic Games in the 50 metre freestyle in Beijing.

Although, swimmer Yip Pin Xiu did not managed to get the Gold Medal, she had gotten the world record for this event at a timing of 57.04 seconds which was set earlier in the heats.

Another glorious sporting result which marked and shows how much Singapore had improved in sports development.
