SINGLE CURRENCY CONSIDERED AMIDST SEVERE GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISIS

Washington, D.C., March 19, 2009) – Recently in the news about the global economic crisis it was reported that 45% of the world’s wealth has disappeared in the last 18 months. World leaders are discussing drastically restructuring the global economic system. In current weeks, leaders from Europe, Africa and the Middle East have considered scrapping their currency and going to a single common currency, The Euro.

A story in the Moscow Times is causing eye brows to be raised. During an April 2nd meeting of (the G20), world leaders in London said,”The Kremlin is set to put forward a new global common currency system and replace the U.S. dollar as the choice for international currency”.

The story points out that the Kremlin’s call for a common currency is an echo from days not to long ago. Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev at an economic conference in Astana, Kazakhstan, just last week, suggested a global currency called the ‘acmetal’  He also proposed  that the Eurasian Economic Community (EEC), a group of five former Soviet republics including Kazakhstan and Russia, implement a single noncash currency – the yevraz – to protect itself from the global economic crisis.

The Kremlin article also called on national banks and international financial institutions to expand their foreign currency reserves. It continued on to say that to prevent a future crisis, the financial system should be restructured and proposed having an international conference after the G20 summit to implement conventions for a new global financial structure.

Last week Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called on 400 million Muslims in the Middle East to accept a single regional currency. The Iranian leader said March 11th "The process of obtaining one single currency in the trade and exchanges among members, and with other countries and neighbors, should be designed,"There by eliminating the need for the dollar as a international monetary means.

The recently elected to the African Union of States, Libyan leader Muammar Ghadafi,, called for a single continental currency for all of Africa and has persuaded 200 tribal leaders to call him the "King of kings." In February the BBC reported that Ghadafi "visualized a single African military force and a single passport so Africans can move freely around the continent."

This morning Reuters news wire: posted and story this morning “U.N. PANEL SAYS WORLD SHOULD DITCH DOLLAR."

Next week a U.N. committee will recommend that the world abandon the dollar as its reserve currency in favor of one shared currency, adding to pressure on the dollar The story went on to say that, currency specialist Avinash Persaud, on the panel of experts, told a Funds Summit in Luxembourg that the plan would create something like the old Ecu, or European currency unit. Former currency chief at JPMorgan,Persaud, said, the recommendation would be one of a number delivered to the United Nations on March 25.

20% of the world’s foreign exchange reserves are euros. Last year, the EU celebrated the 10 year anniversary euro."

In light of Bible prophecy and according to the Scriptures, the "last days" the world will see the materialization of an entirely new international financial design, with a single common global currency created and mandated by European leaders. The Bible points out that no one on earth will be able to buy or sell in a new cashless system. One can read this in Revelation 13:16-17, which reads: "And he [the world leader that emerges from a revived Europe] causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, and he provides that no one can buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name."

These discussions are worth watching to see what develops in days to come.

Mark LoBue: I have been a Christian for over 33 years. I have witnessed many things that can only be attributed to the Holy Spirit and answered prayers. I remember just last year standing outside on a crystal clear morning about 2:00 am and looking up at the stars, speaking with The Father. I asked Him as a faith builder if He would show me a sign. No sooner had the words come out of my mouth I saw a big brilliant shooting star cross over head. Coincidence some would say, but there are no coincidences with God. This was only one of many times I can say I have seen the Lord work. Experiencing the love of God can not be expressed in human words it must be experienced. July 7th 1977 was the day I opened the door of my heart and let Jesus in, and remains the absolute best experience in my life. How anyone can go through life without Jesus, for me is beyond understanding. I was brought up in churchianity, and then I discovered Jesus and Christianity.
Salvation is so simple, when John the Baptist saw Jesus walking on the shore of the river Jordan, and said, “Behold the Lamb of God who comes to take away the sin of the world” Think about it, When Jesus died on the cross he took the sin of the world away. There is no more sin, because sin is disobedience to God. There is only one sin which is the unforgivable and that is blasphemy the Holy Spirit, or the rejection of Jesus as Lord. All one has to do is believe Jesus is the Son of God and that Jesus rose from the grave and ascended into heaven and is waiting for the Father to tell Him to come take His bride (the church). Salvation is the free gift of eternal life. Living without Jesus is not living. Why not ask Him into your heart today?
