Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY)
This is the flagship scheme from the new Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and through the certificate and reward scheme youths are trained so that they do not remain unemployed. Moreover, monetary reward is provided to trainees who are assessed and certified in the skill courses.
National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)
NSDC is a Public Private Partnership that aims to fulfill the growing need for skilled workforce in India according to international standards. The courses are approved by the Government of India and validated by the industry. Chances of high wages increase and the best thing is that NSDC certificates are tamper proof.
Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Institute (SEDI)
An MOU was signed between SLIEM Skills and SEDI, which is a CSR arm of Ambuja Cements Limited (ACL) for Skill Development Training. The MoU was signed in the presence of Mr. Debashis Majumdar, Director, SLIEM, Mr. Partha Sarathi Roychowdhury, Sr. Deputy General Manager, SLIEM, Ms. Neelam Choudhury Manager – Corporate Relations & Sales, SLIEM, Mr. Prabhat Kumar Mishra from Ambuja Cement Foundation Area Programme Manager, West Bengal & Chhatisgarh and Mr. Dharmendra Patra, In Charge-SEDI, Ambuja Cement Foundation, Dhulagori, Howrah.
Vinayaka Missions Sikkim University (VMU)
Vinayaka Missions Sikkim University (VMU) And SLIEM Skills joined hands together for setting up ‘Mission Step Up’ which aims to introduce Diploma courses and Degree on skill and vocational development in different sectors. The initiative is aimed at youths belonging to the lower middle and lower strata of society who cannot survive in the present job market without some extra skills.
West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (WBMDFC)
A MOU was signed between SLIEM Skills and WBMDFC and finalized by hon’ble Chairman of WBMDFC Jb. Sultan Ahmed and the Managing Director of Sliem Skills Mr. Debashis Majumdar. The objective is to provide free coaching and training to poor minority youths so as to make them eligible for fruitful employment in various fields like handset repair engineer, helper mason, unarmed security guard and plumber general helper.
