‘Slumdog Millionaire’ is the buzzword as of now. After being nominated for the prestigious Oscars in 10 different categories, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ has added yet another series of gongs to its bag full of trophies. The award-winning flick picked up a smashing seven honours at the Brit Awards on Wednesday in London.
Directed by Danny Boyle, the film has already dominated the prestigious international awards like the Golden Globes, BAFTAs and is being seen as a potential winner for the Oscars. At the award ceremony, ‘Slumdog’ bagged awards in seven leading categories, including Best Director for Boyle and also for Best Picture.
"Slumdog Millionaire", a rag to riches story of a boy from the slums, who strikes gold after he wins on the money minting show ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’, has won a multitude of awards in almost every category that one can think of.
Based on a novel ‘Q&A’ by Indian author Vikas Swarup, the film stars Dev Patel, Freida Pinto and Anil Kapoor in the roles.
