‘Who’s next?’ seems to be the mantra of the much acclaimed movie, "Slumdog Millionaire". After having bagged numerous awards at the Golden Globe Awards, the movie has swept United Kingdom by winning 7 Bafta awards. The film had been nominated in 11 categories and winning 7 of them is quite a feat. The Baftas included two awards to people of Indian origin, one being the famous Indian music director, Mr. A. R. Rahman. By the way the movie is going, bagging awards after awards, its fate at the most prestigious award ceremony, the Oscars, will be one to look out for. The crew and the director will surely be very comfortable, seeing such remarkable responses to the film the world-over.
The film depicting the life in the city of Mumbai, India has surely struck chord among the world audiences and is surely a huge global hit. What else can explain a whooping 7 out of 11 awards for such a film which is pegged amongst the best of the world. Way to go, Slumdog Millionaire, "JAI HO".
