Smile From a Female Suicide Bomber

A female suicide bomber blew herself up with explosive material at a fifteen yard distance from an Army check post in the Peshawar Garrison area. She reportedly smiled  at Army men before killing herself with explosives when she was stopped to identify herself by officials. Her age was between 30 to 35 years and she was Afghan by origin. She came near the Army check post located near ISI office on Babar road in Peshawer Garrison wearing a blue Burqa(veil) which mostly Afghan women wear. From her remains it was determined that she was a female. ‘ Police experts said she was carrying a seven kilogram heavy bomb,’. No other persons were killed or injured during the incident.

So far 50 bomb explosions were witnessed in the Peshawar capital of NWFP during the last year.

‘In the Tapi village of Kohat and its adjacent area in Jerma village where a religious seminary is located, around 20,000 thousand Taliban militants, including women, are entrenched. Neither police nor Army can challenge them, they are virtually controlling the area,’ a source has said.

‘An unidentified dead body was found near Paracha Town in the area around a Fertilizer Factory. A deceased unknown bearded man was brutally killed by unknown persons, his dead body was filled with bullet wounds. Kohat police buried the body of the unknown deceased, and no evidence of his identity was found,’ a source has said.
