Snow clearance operation at Zojila

Krgil,March 10 (Scoop News) – To connect the life line of Ladakh, National Highway 1D from Kargil to Srinagar Project Vijayak today started the Snow Clearance work from Drass towards Srinagar on the Famous Zojjila Pass. The officials starting of Snow Clearance from Batra Camp Drass with the recitation of Holy Quran and special Hawan Pooja.

The Commanding Officer 762 BRTF of Project Vijayak Colonel Harish Kumar waved green flag to four snow cutter machine and dozer to start snow clearance work along with SDM Drass Syed Jamal. On this occasion various Army officers, BRO and civil officers were also present.

Last year from 1st December the Zojjila tunnel was closed officially for vehicular traffic and every year in the Month of March the Snow Clearance work starts from both sides of the Zojjila Pass.
