Small businesses across the United States continue to incorporate social media into their marketing strategies, yet many of them struggle to find the best tools and approach to use as they work to promote their brand online.
Whatcom County, WA social media managers Patti Rowlson and Lindsey McGuirk of PR Consulting, Inc. are hosting an interactive workshop titled “Social Media Best Practices” on September 30th from 4 pm – 5:15 pm. The workshop will take place at 2211 Rimland Drive in Bellingham.
“Social media marketing continues to evolve – a lot of people are finding it difficult to keep up with how to effectively use sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram as marketing tools. With this interactive workshop, we’ll share top social media marketing tips and current best practices. There will also be a Q&A forum where attendees can ask advice about using social media tools to market their specific business,” shares Rowlson.
The workshop will be followed by no-host happy hour networking at Scotty Browns Social House in Barkley Village where event attendees can continue discussing social media marketing and connect with each other in a casual setting.
“We love sharing our social media experiences with others and also learning about their successes and challenges. You just never know when hearing a different perspective or piece of knowledge from others will create a light bulb moment,” says McGuirk.
