Social Welfare Department, known for its corrupt and biased approach has once again come to hit headlines for just wrong reasons, that too, for corrupt practice by its official at the time when entire country is pulling socks against it. At one hand social welfare department is believed to be the relief provider to poor, downtrodden and destitute and on the other officials resorting to corrupt practices indicates the guidelines and integration of ministries at state and national level.
According to reports Vigilance Office of Jammu (VOJ) nabbed cashier, identified as Pawan Kumar Padha, posted in the office of District Social Welfare Officer, Ambphalla as soon as he accepted Rs 2000 worth graft from Kamal Kumar for giving him a checque of Rs 4000.
Pawan Kumar had been delaying release of Rs 4000 worth cheque of Kamal Kumar since December seeking Rs 2000 in lieu of payment. Kumar had repaired computers of the Social Welfare Department.
Pawan Kumar had asked Kamal Kumar to come at Baba Lal Ji Chowk at Circular Road and take the checque after paying Rs 2000 worth corruption amount. As soon as Kumar made the payment, the Vigilance sleuths nabbed the cashier red handed along with the corruption amount. Kamal Kumar had complained to the SVO about corruption demand by official.
It is important to mention that not only social welfare department but all the departments are pectizing corrupt practices and nobody is there to check even those who had been nabbed and imprisoned by are enjoying prime posting in state. Those who believe in honesty and hard work are being forced to wall and subjected to humiliation. It is the only all mighty who could save poor of the state and none else.
