Hence farmers must have correct information about the health of their soil.
Mr. Singh said that in order to ensure soil test based fertilizer use by the farmers, the Prime Minister has decided to make available Soil Health Card to each farmer, therefore, Government of India is launching today a new centrally sponsored Soil health Card Scheme.
On this occasion, Krishi Karman Awards were also presented, Mr. Singh mentioned that this year Krishi Karman Award for excellent agriculture production is given to 9 States and Appreciation Certificate to 5 Sates.
