Solar and Wind Power Policies, 2015 of Andhra Pradesh Released at Re-Invest 2015

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Nara Chandra Babu Naidu calls on the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, in New Delhi on February 15, 2015.

New Delhi (PIB-GR-TYP-BIN): Mr. Piyush Goyal, the Union Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal and New and Renewable Energy and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu jointly released Andhra Pradesh Solar and Wind Power Policies for 2015. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu interacted with the investors and other stakeholders in the Renewable Energy sector at the Global Investors Summit in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on February 15. The Chief Minister showcased the objectives and policies put forth by his government to smoothen the process of installation of Solar and Wind Power Projects and achieve the target of 10,000 MW of Renewable Energy capacities by 2018-19. He promised a ‘safe journey’ for the investors in the state.

The Andhra Chief Minister also launched the Online Portal for Single Window Clearance of Renewable Energy Projects in the state. During the occasion several queries of the stakeholders were answered with assurance from the Chief Minister of granting all permissions for their projects within a time frame of 21 days. 17 companies signed MoUs with the State Government. The Chief Minister assured the investors that more incentives are in the pipeline if these projects are completed within one year.
