Former Argentine international Santiago Solari will be presented by San Lorenzo to the media on Friday after his transfer was made official earlier in the week.
Solari returns to Argentina after leaving River Plate a decade ago. He will be presented at the Hotel Panamericano at 17:00 local time.
Solari arrived in Europe in 1999 at Atlético Madrid. The following season, and on the recommendation of his cousin Fernando Redondo, he moves down the road and becomes the main man off the bench for Madrid during the Vicente Del Bosque era, although clutch off the bench he was not happy with his playing time and then signed with Inter Milan. His playing time there was just as scarce, but this time he would have to share his duties off the bench with players like Álvaro Recoba and a host of others.
This was the primary reason why he decided to return to his native Argentina with San Lorenzo. He will bring a fresh body to the team and a great deal of experience as his ability on and off the field will help him adjust a great deal to the Apertura.
Solari, 32, has quite an extensive resume with some of the biggest teams in the world. In that resume he has 13 domestic titles and four international titles.
