Somalia: On Thursday night A Greek-owned cargo ship seized off by Pirates in the coast of Somalia. Greece’s merchant marine ministry Officials said that the cargo ship Titan seized with on board 24 crew members. The ministry said a St Vincent-flagged vessel with a cargo of metal came under attack as it sailed to Korea from the Black Sea.
The frequent attacks on merchant vessels taken place in the Gulf of Aden sees. In that region 40% of 293 pirate attacks were performed in last year. The seized Vessels included a Saudi oil tanker and a Ukrainian ship transporting weapons and tanks. Greek ship with its 22 crew was seized in Last month also.
The UK, the US, France, Germany, Iran and some other nations Warships are now patrolling the Gulf of Aden in an attempt to deter the pirates.
