Anantnag, March 05 (Scoop News) – Reiterating her resolve to ensure equitable development of all regions of state, Minister for Social Welfare, Miss Sakina Itoo has said that the developmental works and other welfare programmes would be implemented in letter and spirit in the coming working season.
The Minister was addressing a public meeting at Nasoo in Devsar area of district Kulgam here today. She said though 3500 anganwari centres have been established in the state and more are in the pipeline. Ms. Itoo said that some political parties are misleading the youth with their hollow slogans and promises but the people are now aware of their designs.
She said Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah led government is keen to ensure equal opportunities of prosperity in the state adding that government is alive of the problems confronting the people and various steps to mitigate these have already been initiated.
Ms. Itoo said three anganwari centres are already functioning in the Nasoo area; however, more three centres would be set up shortly.
The District Youth President, National Conference, Bashir Ahmad and Rafiq Hussain also addressed the gathering.
