Soumya murder case solved
With the arrest of the alleged killers of the IT executive Jigeesha Ghosh(28) police claim to have solved the mystery of a blind murder case of Soumya Vishwanathan a journo working in Delhi. Claiming that they have cracked the Soumya Vishwanthan murder case the police said that the journalist who was shot on September 30 last year, when she was driving from her Jhandewalan office to her Vasant Kunj residence, had been intercepted by four men- the same people who allegedly kidnapped and killed Jigeesha near Nelsen Mandela Marg on 18th march at around 4.10am.
The culprits were returning drunk from a party and spotted Somayas car and wanted to stop her with an intention of robbery but when she did not stop, one of the culprits named Ravi took out a country made pistol and fired at the car to display his shooting skills. The bullet hit the Somaya straight in the head and the car out of control rammed into the central verge. This was stated by the DCP (south) police. The police added that after shooting the journo the culprits took a u turn to check if she was dead and when they found her dead they latter went to confirm it from AIIMS trauma centre the next day. Police is trying to obtain and examine the CCTV footage of the trauma centre.
The break through in the Soumya murder case came when police was investigating the murder of Jigeesha Ghosh, who had gone missing on March 18 from Vasant Kunj. Four people have been so far arrested in this case who have admitted to their crime before the police.
