ABDUL MALIK BALOCH FOR THE CHIEF MINISTER OF BALUCHISTAN
Dear Comrades
On behalf of South Asian Peoples Forum (UK), and Awami Workers Party (North England), we whole-heartedly indorse the nomination of Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch for the position of the Chief Minister of Baluchistan. As one of the leaders of National Party, Dr. Abdul Baloch, has been in the forefront of the struggle for democratic rights of Balochi people. His election as the provincial Chief Minister is the first step towards restoring the confidence of Balochi people towards the provincial government. For many decades Balochi people have faced undemocratic rule and many deprivation including disappearances of hundreds of nationalist activists, poverty, and a great deal of deprivation.
As the Chief Minister, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, will bring into the government his long political commitment for democratic rights, civil rights and equality. He has rendered hard struggle for the rights of Balochistan and Baloch. He has raised his voice against discrimination and military operations in Balochistan. He has always fought against tribalism and sardari system and called it as the major obstacle in the progress of the society. Due to his outstanding struggle, today there is no tribalism in Makran division of Balochistan. The National Party is a liberal, secular and nationalist party and it believes on democratic struggle.
Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch is a secular and liberal politician and a staunch and ardent supporter of liberal democracy and democratic values and we hope that under his leadership Baluchistan will become a prosper and democratic province.
