South Asian Peoples Forum Manchester meeting held at Manchester City College auditorium. Meeting was chaired by progressive poet and English/ Urdu play writer Basir Kazmi and addressed by Prof Nazir Tabassum, Mohsin Zulfiqar, Pervez fateh, Ahmed Nizami, Khalid Saeed Qureshi, Prof Riaz Khokher, Anis Zaidi and others.
The meeting elected prominent journalist and progressive activist as Convenior and educationist Prof Riaz Khokhar as general secretary and a ten member organising committee.
