Sparo’s Purchase with a Purpose Helps ICE Foundation’s Granting Courage Scholarship with Donations

(1888 PressRelease) Sparo’s Purchase with a Purpose offers foundations a unique opportunity to receive charitable donations, and the ICE Foundation was recently added as one of the donor options.

Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV – “What if every purchase made online resulted in a charitable donation?” That question spawned a new way to help charities by creating the program, Purchase with a Purpose. Sparo is the start-up philanthropic venture established by Rob Sobhani, a serial entrepreneur, former President of Caspian Energy and an American author and regular contributor on CNN and Fox on International Policy Matters. The application is embedded in store checkouts that allow online shoppers to donate a portion of their purchase to the charity of their choice. The ICE Foundation was recently added to the list of charities consumers can choose from.

“Sparo’s Purchase with a Purpose program offers foundations an exciting opportunity to reach a vast audience of charitable individuals,” said James Barchiesi, ICE Foundation executive director. “What’s best about Sparo is that it’s an innovative mechanism for giving that is simple and cost-efficient for the general public. The ability to leverage access to some of Sparo’s partners, including the Washington Times, presents us with the opportunity to raise awareness for a diversity of programs including our Granting Courage Initiative.”

Sparo’s vision is to shape the world into a place where commerce and charity go hand-in-hand. It’s about having capitalism with a conscience and to give this power to the consumer. Sparo helps merchants and people connect, and helps charities in the process.

The ICE Foundation is a not-for-profit organization created to honor and support the contributions of the more than 20,000 U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency employees stationed in more than 400 offices in the U.S. and 46 foreign countries. ICE Foundation’s Granting Courage initiative focuses on supporting ICE’s mission to help our most vulnerable; children affected by exploitation and human trafficking. The program seeks to raise awareness, provide mission support to the agency, and financial support to survivors.
