Special assistants to the Chief adviser

Chief adviser (prime minister) of Bangladesh Fakhruddin Ahmed has appointed three special assistants of him with the status of state minister today (10 December). They are former Bangladesh Power Development Board chairperson MA Malek Mollah, king of indigenous Chakma nation Debashish Roy and energy expert M Tamim. Chief adviser’s press secretary Syed Fahim Munaim told that another some people would be appointed to the post.

Earlier chief adviser distribute portfolio to 10 advisers (minister). The council of advisers held a special meeting on the distribution of portfolios at the Chief Adviser’s Office. Among the old advisers, Dr. AB Mirza Azizul Islam retains the finance and planing ministry, CS Karim retains the agriculture ministry, Anwarul Iqbal LGRD, Jute and textile, Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury foreign affairs ministry, MA Matin shipping, land and liberation war ministry.

Newly appointed Adviser AMM Shawkat Ali was given the health and family welfare ministry.  Hossain Zillur was given the education and commerce portfolio. Rasheda k chowdary has got the charge of primary and mass education with women and child welfare ministry. Chie adviser has given law, justice and parliamentary affairs ministry to AF Hassan Ariff and communications ministry to Golam Quader.

Razu Ahmed: Razu Ahmed is a Bangladeshi journalist has been engaged in media 2000 when he was a student of Bengali literature in the university of Dhaka. After having completed his schooling he had chosen journalism as his profession. Now he is working for Boishakhi TV (A Bengali TV Chennel) as an Economic Reporter. Before this he was working for The Daily Ajker Kagoj as an Economic Reporter since 1st September 2003 to 20th September 2007. He was also worked with Weekly Ekota, the Weekly 2000 and Weekly Khaborer Kagoj. He have written various articles about different topics Such as trade, economic issues, environment, history, biodiversity, gender and international affairs.

The core areas of his professional interests include Poverty, trade, macro economy and related issues. As a Panos South Asia Fellow, he has done research on poverty reduction strategy and PRSP of Bangladesh.

Razu ahmed hails from Village Kajirgaon under Loyhajong of Munshigonj district. He has completed various workshop and training on Journalism, trade and economic issues.

For professional reason he has visited Hong Kong.
