Special Session of J&K Legislature summons by Governor

Srinagar,August 28 (Scoop News) -The Governor,  N. N. Vohra, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him under section 53 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir, has summoned the Jammu and Kashmir Legislature to commence session on September 30, 2010.

            The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council shall meet at Srinagar on Thursday, the 30th September, 2010 at 10.00 A.M and at 10.30 A.M, respectively.

Meranwhile the Special Secretary, Internal Security, Union Ministry of Home Affairs,  U. K. Bansal, called on the Governor,  N. N. Vohra, at Raj Bhavan, here today and discussed with him the overall security situation in the State in their hour long meeting.

             Bansal briefed the Governor about the various issues relating to the obtaining security environment in Jammu and Kashmir and certain important matters which have a bearing on internal security maintenance.
