Ground Report

It is quite evident that LTTE is losing round and had called for truce which the Sri Lankan army rejected it. As the rebel forces cornered in the northeast of island by army, there seems no way for LTTE to offer truce by asking International community to step-in . As the LTTE on earlier occassion used peace process brokered by Norway for consolidating their position requip arms and ammunition , Sri Lankan government seems to be wary of LTTE’s offer for truce and demands for laying off arms and to surrender by LTTE. As such , we will have wait and watch the further developments.
