Sri Lankan Government To Open Two Safety Routes For IDP’S To Escape

Government Of Sri Lanka planning to open Two Safety Routes in the War Zone  for Tens of Thousands of Civilians who are trapped in the LTTE held area to return to the Government held areas. Govenment today asked the assistance  from International Red Cross to make it a success.

So far Thirty Seven Thousand Two Hundrad IDP’S were returned to the Govenment held areas through the Safety Routes opened by the Troops previousley  in the War Zone.

Now the LTTE held Area is restricted to 45 Square Kilo Meter (17 Square Kilo Meters) Land by the Sri Lankan Troops.Troops continues Heavy fighting with the rebels in the final rebel held area of Puthukkuduyirippu in the North.
