Sri Lankan ground forces today captured another Earth Bund built by LTTE in the Wadduwakal causeway in Northern Sri Lanka by entering into the 2.5 Square Kilo Meter Area of the New Safe Zone occupied by the rebels.
59th Division of the Sri Lankan Army captured the above area.Troops are now advancing 300 Meters further towards LTTE Defences.
Meanwhile Army Spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said in today’s Press Briefing in Colombo that around One Hundrad Eighty Eight Thousand Five Hundred(188,500) Civilians so far escaped from the Rebel Held Area and came to Government Held Area.
