Srinagar-Leh National Highway closed for traffic due to heavy snowfall

Leh/Srinagar, November (Scoop News) – In view of Inclement weather conditions, authorities have announced the immediate closure of National Highway-1-C, Srinagar-Leh for all types of Vehicular traffic, from both ends in the larger public interest.

      It may be mentioned that moderate to heavy snowfall was reported from Zogila Pass today, while it was still snowing at Sonamarg when the last reports came in..

Meanwhile authorities also announced the immediate closure of National Highway-1-B, Srinagar- Kishtwar for all types of Vehicular traffic, from both ends in the larger public interest in view of Inclement weather conditions,

      Moderate to heavy snowfall was reported from Semthan Top today, and five Stranded  persons were rescued  safely from there early today  by  Kokernag Police.
